What is cranberry juice concentrate?
Cranberry juice concentrate is a concentrated form of juice from cranberries (bogberries), where part of the moisture has been removed to obtain a concentrated product.
What does the designation 20:1 mean for a concentrate?
A designation such as 20:1 indicates the concentration ratio: 20 parts of the original raw material are used to make 1 part concentrate. This means that 40 mg of concentrate in this product is equivalent to 800 mg cranberry.
In which foods does vitamin C naturally occur?
Vitamin C naturally occurs in foods such as citrus fruits, strawberries, peppers and broccoli.
In which foods does vitamin E naturally occur?
Vitamin E naturally occurs in vegetable oils, nuts, seeds, avocado and green leafy vegetables.
What is the difference between natural and synthetic vitamin E, such as dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate?
Natural vitamin E is often referred to as d-alpha-tocopherol, while the synthetic form is called dl-alpha-tocopherol. This product contains vitamin E in the form of dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, an esterified, synthetic form.
Why is this supplement offered in a softgel capsule?
Softgel capsules are often used for formulas that contain fat-soluble ingredients, such as vitamin E in this product. The liquid, oil-based filling of a softgel capsule is suited to this type of ingredient.
