Absonutrix supplements: forms, formulas and what they suit
Absonutrix is an American supplement brand with its base in North Carolina. It develops and produces its own range in the United States to GMP standards, and states that batches are checked by an independent lab. Within the brands we stock, it stands out for two reasons: a large number of liquid products, and formulas built on ingredients most ranges leave out.
The formulas Absonutrix is known for
The best known product is the Anti-Grey Advanced Hair Formula. Each capsule carries a 510 mg complex with L-tyrosine, catalase and plant sterols. Catalase is an enzyme, here supplied through wheatgrass extract. Saw palmetto and nettle root extract are added, together with B vitamins: B5, B6, biotin and folic acid. Fo-ti, horsetail and barley grass complete the formula. Alongside it sit ingredients you rarely see on a European shelf, such as serrapeptase, benfotiamine, ursolic acid, citicoline, alpha-GPC and fucoidan from brown seaweed. Compared with the usual supplements for hair growth, this is a different route than a plain biotin tablet.
Drops or capsules: what that means in daily use
Most of the liquid products come in a 4 fl oz bottle with around 200 servings, dosed with a dropper. That has real advantages and one real drawback:
- Drops: nothing to swallow, easy to split a dose, but the taste can be strong. Mixing them into water or juice solves that.
- Capsules: no taste, fixed dose, easy to take with a meal. The vegetarian capsules are the practical choice if you travel.
Why Absonutrix at BONO
Absonutrix builds formulas around ingredients that most brands skip, and it puts many of them in liquid form, so the dose is easy to adjust. That is exactly why it is in our range: a real alternative for someone who has already tried the standard capsule. We are brand-neutral, so we look at the form, the dose and whether a combination makes sense, never at margin. Every Absonutrix product passes our compliance team before it goes live, we test products ourselves, and independent labs spot-check batches. You can read how we select brands and products.
Who it suits, and what to expect honestly
These products suit people who want to work on a specific goal with a specific ingredient, rather than take a broad multivitamin. If your interest is the anti-grey formula, be clear on the rules: in the UK and the EU, no supplement may claim to restore or hold hair colour, and we will not suggest otherwise. What the ingredients are allowed to say is narrower and worth knowing. Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair. Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal hair. Those are two separate approved statements about keeping hair in normal condition, not about pigment.
Reviews of the anti-grey capsules split sharply, and the timeline explains much of that. People who report a visible difference are usually several bottles in. People who stop after a few weeks report nothing. Take it daily for at least three months before you judge it, and longer if you are looking at hair that changed colour years ago. Used that way, it is a reasonable thing to try alongside the rest of your routine for hair, skin and nails. Do not exceed the dose on the label, and check the B vitamins if you already take another hair supplement.
Frequently asked questions
What kind of brand is Absonutrix?
Absonutrix is an American supplement brand based in North Carolina. It makes health, sports and beauty supplements for men and women, and produces its range itself rather than buying in finished products. The range is unusual in two ways: a lot of it comes as liquid drops, and it uses ingredients you rarely find in mainstream European ranges, from serrapeptase to fucoidan from brown seaweed. That focus is why we carry it.
Where are Absonutrix products made?
Entirely in the United States. Absonutrix states that every product it sells is manufactured within the US, in facilities working to GMP standards, and that products are non-GMO and third-party tested. You may see UK marketplace listings that describe the same items as made in the UK. That is a listing error on those sites, not a second production location. We buy directly from brands, so what you read on our product pages comes from the brand's own specification.
Which Absonutrix product do most people look for?
The Anti-Grey Advanced Hair Formula. It combines a 510 mg complex of L-tyrosine, catalase and plant sterols with saw palmetto, nettle root extract, fo-ti, horsetail and barley grass, plus the B vitamins B5, B6, biotin and folic acid. People choose it because that ingredient list is different from a standard hair tablet. Note that no supplement may claim to restore hair colour in the UK, so judge it on the ingredients and the dose.
Should I choose drops or capsules?
It depends on taste tolerance and how precisely you want to dose. Drops let you split or adjust a serving and skip swallowing altogether. Capsules are neutral in taste and simpler to take with a meal.
| Form | Strength | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| Liquid drops | Adjustable dose | Trouble swallowing pills |
| Liquid drops | Many servings per bottle | Long-term daily use |
| Capsules | No taste | Sensitive to strong flavours |
| Capsules | Fixed dose | Travel and routine |
If the flavour of a liquid is too strong, mix it into water or juice.
How long before I notice anything?
Give it at least three months of daily use. Hair grows slowly, so anything happening at the root takes months to reach the visible part of the strand. Reviews follow that pattern: people who describe a change are usually on their third bottle or later, while those who stop after a few weeks report nothing. For hair that turned grey years ago, expect the process to be slower still, and expect maintenance rather than reversal.
Are Absonutrix supplements suitable for vegetarians?
Many are. The capsules use vegetable cellulose shells rather than gelatin, and Absonutrix states that it selects plant-based raw materials where it can. Not every product in the range qualifies, so check the ingredient list on the product page you are buying. One point matters if you have allergies: the labels state that products are made and packed in a facility that also handles milk, soy, wheat, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, fish and shellfish.
Can I take these products during pregnancy or give them to a teenager?
No. Absonutrix labels these products for adult use only, so not for anyone under 18. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, planning a pregnancy or using medication, speak to your doctor or midwife before starting any supplement. That is standard advice, but it carries extra weight here, because several formulas contain herbal extracts such as saw palmetto and fo-ti and relatively high B vitamin amounts. Do not exceed the dose printed on the label.
Can I combine the anti-grey capsules with another hair supplement?
Sometimes, but check the vitamin B6 total first. Hair supplements often contain B6, and stacking two can push you well past what is sensible. In the UK, the NHS advises keeping supplemental B6 to 10 mg a day unless a doctor says otherwise, because very high long-term intakes can affect the nerves in the arms and legs.
| Vitamin B6 | Amount per day |
|---|---|
| Men, 19 to 64 | 1.4 mg |
| Women, 19 to 64 | 1.2 mg |
| From supplements, NHS advice | Up to 10 mg |
Add up the labels, or compare products with vitamin B6 before you stack.
