In these general terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:
These general terms and conditions apply to every offer made by BONO and to every distance contract between BONO and the customer via bono.co.uk. By placing an order, the customer accepts these terms and conditions.
BONO can be reached via the contact form and contact page on bono.co.uk.
Deviations from these terms and conditions are only valid if agreed in writing.
BONO describes and depicts the products offered on the website as accurately as possible. Images and specifications are indicative. Packaging may differ from the image shown. Obvious mistakes or errors in the offer are not binding on BONO.
Every offer contains sufficient information to make it clear to the customer what rights and obligations are associated with accepting the offer, including the price inclusive of VAT.
BONO reserves the right to modify the offer.
The agreement is concluded when the customer accepts the offer and meets the stated conditions. BONO confirms receipt of the order by email.
BONO reserves the right to refuse orders or impose additional conditions, for example in the event of reasonable doubt about the accuracy of the order or the creditworthiness of the customer.
The customer is responsible for providing correct order and address details.
All prices on bono.co.uk are in pounds sterling and inclusive of VAT, unless stated otherwise. Shipping costs are clearly stated before the order is finalised.
BONO accepts the following payment methods, all without additional charges for the customer: Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, American Express, Trustly, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna.
Payment is made at the time of ordering, unless the chosen payment method allows for a different payment term (for example with Klarna).
If the customer fails to meet their payment obligations on time, BONO will notify the customer of the late payment and give the customer a period of 14 days to settle the amount. If payment is not received within this period, the customer will owe statutory interest on the outstanding amount. In addition, BONO is entitled to charge extrajudicial collection costs in accordance with the statutory scale: 15% on the first €2,500 (approx. £2,100), 10% on the next €2,500 (approx. £2,100) and 5% on the next €5,000 (approx. £4,200), with a minimum of €40 (approx. £34).
BONO endeavours to deliver orders as quickly as possible. All delivery times stated on the website are indicative and are not binding deadlines. Exceeding a delivery time does not entitle the customer to compensation.
If an order cannot be fulfilled or can only be partially fulfilled, the customer will be notified no later than 30 days after placing the order. In that case, the customer has the right to cancel the agreement free of charge. BONO will refund the amount already paid within 14 days of cancellation.
The delivery address is the address provided by the customer. The risk of damage or loss passes to the customer upon delivery. BONO is not liable for loss or delay resulting from an incorrectly provided address.
If the customer chooses an alternative delivery location (for example via the carrier's app or account), this is entirely at the customer's own risk. The right to claim for non-receipt lapses in such cases.
The customer may cancel the agreement without giving reasons within 14 days of receiving the product (cooling-off period). During the cooling-off period, the customer handles the product and its packaging with care. The customer may only unpack and inspect the product as would be permitted in a physical store. The customer is liable for any diminution in value of the product resulting from use that goes beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer registers the return via the returns portal at bono-couk.returnless.com/en. After registration, the product must be returned within 28 days.
Returns conditions:
Excluded from the right of withdrawal are:
Refund: upon receipt and approval of the return, BONO will process the refund within 14 days. The amount will be refunded via the original payment method.
BONO warrants that the products conform to the agreement, the specifications stated in the offer, reasonable requirements of quality and usability, and the statutory provisions and government regulations in force on the date of the agreement.
Any additional warranty provided by BONO, the manufacturer or the importer never limits the statutory rights the customer can assert against BONO on the basis of the agreement.
BONO's liability is limited to the amount the customer paid for the product in question. BONO is not liable for indirect damages, including consequential loss, loss of profit or missed savings.
BONO is not liable for damage resulting from incorrect use of products by the customer, or for damage arising from the customer providing incorrect or incomplete information.
The limitations in this article do not apply if the damage is the result of intent or gross negligence on the part of BONO.
Complaints about the performance of the agreement must be submitted within a reasonable time, and no later than 2 months after the defect has been identified, fully and clearly described, via the contact form on bono.co.uk.
BONO will respond to complaints within 14 days of receipt. If a longer processing time is required, the customer will receive an acknowledgement within 14 days with an indication of the expected response time.
If the complaint is valid, BONO will, at its own discretion, either replace the product free of charge or refund the purchase amount.
A complaint does not suspend BONO's obligations, unless BONO indicates otherwise in writing.
BONO processes the customer's personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The full privacy policy is available at bono.co.uk/pages/privacy-policy.
Dutch law exclusively applies to all agreements between BONO and the customer. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) is excluded.
Disputes are preferably resolved by mutual agreement. If a dispute cannot be resolved by mutual agreement, the Amsterdam Court has jurisdiction.
If any provision of these general terms and conditions is void or voidable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
Supplementary or deviating provisions may not be to the detriment of the customer and must be recorded in writing.
Dutch law applies to situations not covered by these general terms and conditions.
