Started out of my own frustration
In 2014 I was studying software engineering in Amsterdam and dealing with early hair loss. I went looking for supplements that could help. That was disappointing. The products I read good things about were not for sale in Europe. And what was available came with big promises and little explanation.
So I built it myself
I built a webshop and brought the supplements I was looking for to Europe. With one rule: only sell what I would take myself. One thing led to another. More brands, more countries, and more and more customers with the same question as me: what actually works?
It had to be different
By then I was no longer on my own. And the market was getting messier. Marketplaces where you don't know where a product comes from. Brands that always recommend their own product. So as a team we agreed on three rules: all the good brands in one place, everything bought and checked by us, and advice we would also give our own family.

The brand we were always looking for did not exist. So we made it ourselves.
For twelve years we saw the supplement market from the inside. We learned which brands invest in quality, where the gaps were, and where consumers were misled with cheaper forms behind a nice label. For many web shops, an own brand is a way to buy cheap and sell expensive. That is not why we did this.
Branded ingredients with proof
With those years of experience and knowledge, we made our own brand: BONO Supplements. We use branded ingredients such as TRAACS, KSM-66 and Magtein: raw materials with quality and effect shown in research, instead of the cheaper unbranded versions.
Made in the Netherlands
Every product is made in the Netherlands by an IFS-certified manufacturer, with only claims approved by EFSA. And free from fillers as standard (clean label). Is a product not perfect yet? Then we say so honestly and explain why.
The therapist test
Every product must pass one test: would an orthomolecular therapist recommend it to someone they love? If not, it does not get made. And if we cannot honestly say the formula is better than what we already sell, we do not make it. We never choose a cheaper raw material if it makes the formula worse. Does another brand suit you better? Then we tell you honestly.
