How powder supplements differ from capsules and tablets
A powder is the nutrient without a shell around it. No capsule, no tablet coating, no binder to hold a pill together. You stir it into water, juice, yoghurt or a shake. That sounds like a detail, but it decides which supplements can exist in powder form at all.
Some nutrients are dosed in grams, not milligrams. Three grams of creatine a day already means four to six capsules. A protein serving of 20 grams would mean dozens. So the heavy hitters are nearly always powders: protein blends, creatine, collagen, electrolyte mixes and green food powders such as spirulina. Vitamins and most minerals are the opposite: a few hundred milligrams fits easily into one capsule, so a powder adds little there.
