Where is vitamin B2 naturally found?

Riboflavin for supplements is now usually produced via fermentation. Microorganisms, such as certain bacteria or moulds, produce the vitamin. The riboflavin is then purified and dried into a fine yellow powder.

Riboflavin is the basic form of vitamin B2 and the form most commonly used in supplements. It is a stable substance that is easy to process into a tablet. Riboflavin-5'-phosphate, also known as the active form of vitamin B2, dissolves better in water. That form is therefore used more often in liquid products. Both forms are vitamin B2.
Why is riboflavin sensitive to light?
