NatureWise Vitamin B Complex (60, 150 or 360 softgels) contains all eight B vitamins in one softgel. Each softgel provides 2.25 mg vitamin B1, 2.55 mg vitamin B2, 30 mg vitamin B3, 3 mg vitamin B6, 400 mcg folic acid, 6 mcg vitamin B12, 300 mcg biotin and 10 mg pantothenic acid. The vitamins are in a softgel with extra virgin olive oil and linseed oil, which is easy to swallow. Simply take 1 softgel a day with water during a meal, making the supplement easy to fit into your daily routine.
B vitamins can be found in many different foods. Think of whole grains, meat, fish, eggs, dairy, legumes, nuts and green leafy vegetables. Vitamin B12 is an exception: it is found almost exclusively in animal products.
Both are forms of vitamin B3. Nicotinic acid can cause a flush at higher amounts: the skin then becomes temporarily red and warm. Niacinamide does not cause this reaction. That’s why this supplement contains niacinamide.
Folate is the natural form of vitamin B9 found in food, such as in leafy greens and legumes. Folic acid is the stable, synthetic form used in supplements. The label also lists folate as DFE (Dietary Folate Equivalents). 400 mcg folic acid equals 680 mcg DFE.
Vitamin B2 naturally has a bright yellow colour. Because of this, your urine can become a brighter yellow while taking the supplement. This is only due to the colour of the vitamin.
Vitamin B12 is the only vitamin that contains a metal: cobalt. That’s where the name cobalamin comes from. In cyanocobalamin, the molecule is bound to a cyanide group. This group makes the molecule stable and is harmless in this form.
Annatto is a natural colouring from the seeds of the annatto tree (Bixa orellana), which grows in Central and South America. It gives the softgel its colour.
