What is Mullein-X®?
Mullein-X® is a patented herbal blend of six plants: mullein leaf, nettle, greater plantain, elecampane root, horehound and marshmallow root. These herbs are combined in one formula and together form the main ingredient of this supplement with 1500 mg per serving.
What is mullein leaf?
Mullein leaf (Verbascum thapsus), also called great mullein, comes from a plant recognised by its large, velvety leaves and tall flowering stem with yellow flowers. The leaves are the most commonly used part of the plant and are often processed in herbal extracts and supplements.
What is NAC?
NAC stands for N-acetyl-L-cysteine and is a stabilised form of the amino acid cysteine. It is widely used in food supplements as an individual ingredient and is found in this formula at a quantity of 250 mg per serving.
Why was zinc citrate chosen?
Zinc citrate is a compound of zinc and citric acid. This form is widely used in supplements because of its good solubility and relatively high content of elemental zinc. Each serving provides 5 mg zinc.
What is ivy extract?
Ivy extract is obtained from the leaves of common ivy (Hedera helix), an evergreen climbing plant commonly found in Europe. For supplements, specific constituents are extracted and concentrated from the leaves.
What does standardised to 10% hederacoside C mean?
Hederacoside C is a natural substance that naturally occurs in ivy leaves. A standardisation of 10% means that each amount of extract consistently contains the same ratio of this substance, ensuring the composition of the extract remains comparable from batch to batch.
