The DS Laboratories Scalp Activator (1 piece) is an applicator that allows you to apply liquid scalp products directly to your scalp through comb teeth. Fill the reservoir with up to 6 ml of liquid. Then press the teeth through your hair against the scalp so the liquid is released as you massage. The device combines red LED light (655 nm), microcurrent and vibration, divided over three settings which you select with a single button. Thanks to its IPX5 water resistance, you can easily clean the applicator. You can also use it while charging.
What do you use the Scalp Activator for?
With the Scalp Activator, you apply liquid scalp products, like serums or lotions, directly to your scalp. The liquid is released through the comb teeth as you massage in circular motions. At the same time, you can select a setting with LED light, microcurrent and vibration.
Who is the Scalp Activator suitable for?
The Scalp Activator is intended for anyone who uses liquid scalp products and wants to apply them directly to the scalp. The comb teeth reach through the hair, so the product reaches the scalp instead of the hair.
What is the difference between LED light and regular light?
An LED emits light within a narrow range of wavelengths, which gives it a distinct colour, such as red. Regular bulb light or daylight consists of a mix of nearly all colours in the visible spectrum.
What is microcurrent?
Microcurrent is a very weak electrical current, measured in microamperes. That’s one millionth of an ampere. Microcurrent is used in various care devices. In the Scalp Activator, it is combined with LED light and vibration.
How do you clean the Scalp Activator?
After use, remove any remaining liquid from the reservoir, clean the comb teeth and dry everything. Liquid that remains can crystallise over time and clog the teeth. Afterwards, replace the protective cap.
What does IPX5 mean?
IPX5 is an international rating for water resistance. A device with IPX5 is resistant to water jets from any direction. The X indicates that no rating for dust resistance has been tested. The device is not intended to be submerged.
