BON CHARGE Blue Light Blocking Clip Light (1 piece) is a small, rechargeable clip-on lamp that emits only red light, with a peak wavelength of 630 nm. Blue and green light between 380 and 570 nm are completely blocked, giving the lamp a warm, red glow with a colour temperature of 1200 K. With the flexible clip and adjustable gooseneck, you can easily attach the lamp to a book, e-reader or your bed's headboard, and direct the light exactly where it's needed. By tapping the lamp head, you can choose from three brightness settings up to 85 lumens. The lamp is flicker-free, charges in about 2 hours and then lasts up to 8 hours.
Blue light naturally belongs to daytime: sunlight contains a lot of blue. After sunset, light was traditionally mainly warm and red, like the light from a campfire or candle. That's why many people consciously choose warm, dimmed light without blue in the evening, for example as part of a regular and calm evening routine.
A reading lamp shines only on the book or e-reader, while regular lighting illuminates the whole room. This way, the rest of the space stays dark and the person next to you isn’t in the light. This lamp also emits only red light, so even the small amount of light it produces doesn't contain any blue.
Blue light is a part of the visible light spectrum, with wavelengths of about 380 to 500 nm. It occurs naturally in sunlight and is also emitted by LED lights and screens of phones, tablets and laptops.
The difference is in the wavelength. Blue light has a short wavelength, while red light has a long wavelength of about 620 to 750 nm. This lamp emits red light with a peak wavelength of 630 nm.
Many lamps flicker very quickly, often so fast that you can't see it with the naked eye. A flicker-free lamp gives a constant light output without this flickering.
Tap the lamp head once to turn the lamp on. Tap a second and third time to switch between the three brightness settings. On the fourth tap, the lamp turns off.
Fully charging usually takes about 2 hours. On a full battery, the lamp lasts up to 8 hours.
