Nature's Answer Chasteberry Vitex agnus-castus liquid (30 ml) contains a 1:1 extract of Vitex agnus-castus, also known as chasteberry. The berries of this plant come from a shrub that naturally occurs in the Mediterranean region. Each 2 ml serving provides an amount of extract equivalent to 2000 mg chasteberry. The formula is produced using Nature's Answer's cold extraction method and is alcohol-free. Thanks to the pipette, the liquid is easy to measure and mix with water, juice or another drink of your choice.
What is Chasteberry (Vitex agnus-castus)?
Vitex Agnus Castus, also known as chasteberry, monk's pepper, or chaste tree, is a plant native to the Mediterranean region. The small dark berries have a spicy, peppery flavour and have been traditionally used for a long time.
Why is Vitex also called monk's pepper?
The dried berries have a slightly peppery taste and were sometimes used in the past as a substitute for black pepper. This is where the plant gets its Dutch name 'monnikspeper' (monk's pepper).
What makes this Vitex extract special?
This liquid herbal extract contains 2000 mg chasteberry per serving and is alcohol-free. Nature’s Answer uses a cold extraction process and Advanced Botanical Fingerprint Technology® to check the botanical identity of the plant used.
Why does the pipette only fill halfway?
The pipette is designed in such a way that when filled to about halfway, it contains approximately 1 ml of liquid. This is normal for this product.
What does a 1:1 extract mean for this product?
A 1:1 extract means that the ratio between the herb used and the final extract is one to one. This indicates the amount of plant material used in relation to the amount of liquid extract.
