Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus) is a mushroom that has been used for a long time in various dietary and herbal traditions. The mushroom has a striking white, fibrous structure reminiscent of a lion’s mane.

With an extract, the active plant or mushroom components are taken from the original material. This is often done using hot water, which releases the substances from the cell walls of the mushroom.

This means that about 15 to 17 parts of dried mushroom have been used to make one part of extract. This results in a more concentrated product.

Beta-glucans are natural polysaccharides that occur naturally in mushrooms. Many mushroom extracts are standardized by the content of these substances.

The mycelium is the root-like network of a mushroom that grows underground. The fruiting body is the visible part of the mushroom above ground. Some supplements use mycelium, while others – like this product – use the fruiting body.
