Nature's Answer Sambucus for Kids liquid (120 ml) combines black elderberry (Sambucus nigra) with echinacea and astragalus in a liquid formula for children. Each daily serving of 10 ml contains 1000 mg black elderberry juice concentrate, corresponding to 4000 mg herbal equivalent. The formula has a natural fruit flavour thanks to black elderberry and red raspberry. The liquid form makes it easy to mix with a small amount of water. The packaging contains 12 servings and is suitable for children from 4 years old.
Black elderberry is the fruit of the European elder bush (Sambucus nigra). The dark purple berries are traditionally processed into syrups, juices, jams and herbal extracts. Concentrated juice or fruit extract is often used for supplements.
The juice concentrate in this formula is concentrated. As a result, 1000 mg concentrate is equal to the amount of constituents obtained from about 4000 mg original black elderberries.
Astragalus (Astragalus mongholicus) is a plant originally from parts of China and Mongolia. In supplements, almost always the root is used, which is dried and processed into extract after harvest.
