What are flyers in a supplement shop?

They are printed sheets and small leaflets that go with an order or a product. A flyer explains something briefly: what an ingredient is, how two forms differ, or how to fit a daily intake into your routine. Ours are written to be read in a minute. They are paper, not food supplements, so they have no ingredients, no dose and no shelf life to worry about.

Can I order a flyer on its own?

Flyers are printed information, not something you consume, so they are listed separately from the products they describe. Availability depends on the print run, which means a leaflet you saw once may no longer be in stock. The information itself does not disappear: the same explanations sit on the product and category pages, where we can also update them when a formula or an intake changes.

Does a flyer replace the information on the pack?

Accepted Answer

No. In Great Britain a food supplement must carry its own label with the words "food supplement", the ingredients, the recommended daily intake, warnings and the responsible business name and address. A flyer sits alongside that and adds context. It has no legal standing of its own. So if a leaflet says one thing and the pack says another, the pack wins, and you should not exceed the stated intake.

Which claims are allowed on a printed supplement leaflet?

Accepted Answer

Only claims that appear on the Great Britain nutrition and health claims register. Food supplements are regulated as food, so nothing printed may say or suggest that a product treats, prevents or cures an illness. That is why our texts stay with what is approved, for example the role of a nutrient in normal function, and explain the rest in neutral words: which form we chose, how much is in a serving, and what to expect over a few weeks.

Question 6

Can I recycle a paper flyer?

Accepted Answer

Plain printed paper and light card normally go in your household paper recycling. Laminated or foiled sheets are the exception, because the plastic layer is hard to separate from the fibre. If a leaflet feels glossy and slightly rubbery, check your council's rules. We keep our own printed material simple and unlaminated for that reason, which also makes it easy to write your own intake times on the back.

What should I check on a label before starting a new supplement?

Accepted Answer

Five things: the exact form of the nutrient, the amount per serving, the intake instruction, the warnings, and who is responsible for the product. Then compare that with your diet and your other supplements, so you are not doubling up on the same nutrient from two pots. Do not exceed the stated intake, and speak to your GP or pharmacist before combining supplements with medication. If you are unsure where to start, work from a goal rather than an ingredient and browse by health goal.
