This product contains three forms: magnesium bisglycinate, lysinate-glycinate, and malate. Bisglycinate and lysinate-glycinate are amino acid chelates known for their high bioavailability. Magnesium malate is bound to malic acid, a substance often chosen for its gentleness on the digestive system.
Each form has unique properties. By combining them, a balanced profile is created that supports different absorption and distribution mechanisms in the body, while keeping the likelihood of stomach or intestinal discomfort low.
The iron (1.9 mg per daily dose) is naturally present in the mineral blends used and is not added as a separate ingredient. This also explains the relatively low dosage, which is intended as a natural by-product rather than an active ingredient.
Chelates like bisglycinate and lysinate-glycinate are not broken down into free magnesium ions in the stomach, which greatly reduces the chances of stomach complaints or laxative effects compared to, for example, magnesium oxide or citrate.
