Absonutrix supplements: forms, formulas and what they suit
Absonutrix is an American supplement brand with its base in North Carolina. It develops and produces its own range in the United States to GMP standards, and states that batches are checked by an independent lab. The formulas Absonutrix is known for
The best known product is the Anti-Grey Advanced Hair Formula. Each capsule carries a 510 mg complex with L-tyrosine, catalase and plant sterols. Catalase is an enzyme, here supplied through wheatgrass extract. Saw palmetto and nettle root extract are added, together with B vitamins: B5, B6, biotin and folic acid. Fo-ti, horsetail and barley grass complete the formula. Alongside it sit ingredients you rarely see on a European shelf, such as serrapeptase, benfotiamine, ursolic acid, citicoline, alpha-GPC and fucoidan from brown seaweed. Compared with the usual supplements for hair growth, this is a different route than a plain biotin tablet.
Drops or capsules: what that means in daily use
Most of the liquid products come in a 4 fl oz bottle with around 200 servings, dosed with a dropper. That has real advantages and one real drawback:
- Drops: nothing to swallow, easy to split a dose, but the taste can be strong. Mixing them into water or juice solves that.
- Capsules: no taste, fixed dose, easy to take with a meal. The vegetarian capsules are the practical choice if you travel.

What the ingredients are allowed to say is narrower and worth knowing. Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair. Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal hair. Those are two separate approved statements about keeping hair in normal condition, not about pigment.

For hair that turned grey years ago, expect the process to be slower still, and expect maintenance rather than reversal.
Many are. The capsules use vegetable cellulose shells rather than gelatin, and Absonutrix states that it selects plant-based raw materials where it can. Not every product in the range qualifies, so check the ingredient list on the product page you are buying. One point matters if you have allergies: the labels state that products are made and packed in a facility that also handles milk, soy, wheat, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, fish and shellfish.
No. Absonutrix labels these products for adult use only, so not for anyone under 18. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, planning a pregnancy or using medication, speak to your doctor or midwife before starting any supplement. That is standard advice, but it carries extra weight here, because several formulas contain herbal extracts such as saw palmetto and fo-ti and relatively high B vitamin amounts. Do not exceed the dose printed on the label.
Sometimes, but check the vitamin B6 total first. Hair supplements often contain B6, and stacking two can push you well past what is sensible. In the UK, the NHS advises keeping supplemental B6 to 10 mg a day unless a doctor says otherwise, because very high long-term intakes can affect the nerves in the arms and legs.
