The approved conditions are 1 g per dose, three times a day, each with one or two large glasses of water. Capsules must be swallowed whole and never opened. Powder should be drunk immediately, because it thickens fast. Anyone with swallowing difficulties should avoid it, and everyone should take it with plenty of fluid.

Check with your GP or pharmacist first, especially if you take medicine for blood sugar or thyroid function.
