NOW Foods Glucomannan 575 mg (180 capsules) contains glucomannan, a soluble fiber derived from the konjac root (Amorphophallus konjac). Glucomannan is known as a versatile fiber suitable for use within the context of a calorie-restricted diet.
Glucomannan is a soluble fiber extracted from the root of the konjac plant. It is often used as a supplement to fiber-rich diets.
The fibers absorb a lot of water, expand, and form a 'gel.' Drink enough water when taking the capsules to prevent the capsules from expanding in the throat.
Take 3 g of glucomannan daily in three doses of 1 g each, together with 1-2 glasses of water, before meals, and within the context of a calorie-restricted diet.
