NORSAN Omega-3 Kids Oil (150 ml) combines natural fish oil and cod liver oil with organic extra virgin olive oil in a liquid formula specially tailored for children from 1 year of age. A daily dose of 5 ml provides 1,120 mg of omega-3 fatty acids, including EPA, DHA and DPA, supplemented with vitamin D3 and vitamin E. The oil has a fruity orange flavour and can easily be taken straight or added to a cold meal.

What are omega-3 fatty acids?
Omega-3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fatty acids naturally present in fish, cod liver oil, algae and certain plant foods. The best-known types are EPA, DHA and ALA.
What is the difference between EPA, DHA and DPA?
EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and DPA (docosapentaenoic acid) are different omega-3 fatty acids found naturally in fish oil and cod liver oil. EPA and DHA are the most common forms, while DPA is usually present in smaller amounts.
Why does this formula contain both fish oil and cod liver oil?
Fish oil and cod liver oil each have their own natural composition. By combining both oils, a formula is created that supplements omega-3 fatty acids with the naturally occurring fat-soluble vitamins from cod liver oil.
Where is vitamin D naturally present?
Vitamin D is naturally present in cod liver oil, oily fish, liver and egg yolk. In addition, vitamin D is often added to foods and dietary supplements.
Where is vitamin E naturally present?
Vitamin E occurs naturally in vegetable oils, nuts, seeds, avocado and green leafy vegetables. In this formula, vitamin E is used in the form of mixed tocopherols.
Why is it preferable to take omega-3 oil with a meal?
Omega-3 fatty acids and the added vitamins D and E are fat-soluble. Therefore, it is recommended to take the oil during or directly after a meal, preferably a meal that contains fat.
