BONO Magnesium Complex (60 tablets) provides 200 mg of magnesium per tablet, which is 53% of the reference intake. This magnesium comes from five different forms: magnesium citrate, magnesium taurate, magnesium bisglycinate, magnesium malate and magnesium glycerophosphate.
Magnesium plays a role in many processes in the body. It is good for the muscles and the nervous system, supports energy metabolism and helps with tiredness and fatigue. Magnesium also benefits your mood, helps maintain a good electrolyte balance, and supports your bones and teeth. Magnesium also plays a role in building body protein.
All five are organically bound forms: the magnesium is each time linked to a carbon-containing molecule, namely citric acid, taurine, glycine, malic acid, and glycerophosphate. Bisglycinate and taurate are amino acid chelates, where the amino acid itself forms the bond. Each tablet also contains 150 mg of L-taurine as a free amino acid.

What is a magnesium complex?
This is a food supplement in which the magnesium comes from several forms at the same time, for example citrate, taurate, bisglycinate, malate and glycerophosphate. In this case, they are all organically bound forms: the magnesium is each time linked to a carbon-containing molecule.
Why does the product contain multiple forms of magnesium?
Each form of magnesium is bound to a different substance and has different properties. For example, magnesium citrate is bound to citric acid, magnesium malate to malic acid, and magnesium bisglycinate to glycine. By combining different compounds, a broadly composed magnesium complex is created.
What does magnesium do?

What is taurine?
Taurine is a sulphur-containing, amino acid-like substance that naturally occurs in the body and in certain foods. Besides 150 mg L-Taurine in free form, magnesium taurate in the capsules additionally supplies approx. 350 mg taurine.
What is magnesium in the form of glycerophosphate?
Glycerophosphate is a compound of glycerol and a phosphate group. Various forms occur in the body, including glycerol-3-phosphate, which serves as an intermediate in fat metabolism. With magnesium glycerophosphate, the element magnesium is bound to glycerophosphate.
Why is this product not recommended during pregnancy?
This product contains not only magnesium but also taurine. There is insufficient knowledge about taking extra taurine from supplements during pregnancy. For supplementation during pregnancy or breastfeeding, choose our magnesium in the form of citrate or malate.
Can magnesium have a laxative effect?
Magnesium from supplements can have a laxative effect in sensitive people. This is a harmless effect, which usually only occurs with a daily dose of 250 mg or more (this product contains 200 mg). Taking magnesium during or just after a meal can be pleasant.
