BON CHARGE Blue Light Blocking Torch (1 piece) is a small torch that only emits red light, with a wavelength between 600 and 640 nm. The torch contains no blue or green light and produces a warm red glow instead of bright white light. With its 9 LEDs, it is still bright enough to find your way at night indoors or outside. Thanks to its compact size (9.5 x 2.8 cm) and weight of 50 grams, the torch fits easily in your hand or trouser pocket. The light is flicker free and the torch runs on 3 AAA batteries, which you buy separately.
An ordinary torch emits bright white light, which contains a lot of blue light. This torch only emits red light with a wavelength between 600 and 640 nm, so no blue or green light.
The torch is handy if you need light in the dark but don't want to turn on the main light. Think of walking to the loo or the children's room at night, searching for something in bed, or going for an evening walk. It's also very useful for camping or when travelling.
Yes, with 9 LEDs of 0.3 watt each, the torch gives enough light to find your way indoors or outdoors. The light is red and warm, so it feels less harsh than white light.
