Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) is an omega 6 fatty acid found in plant oils such as evening primrose oil, borage oil, and blackcurrant seed oil. The body can produce small amounts of GLA itself from linoleic acid.
Cold-pressed means that the oil is extracted without heating. This better preserves the natural properties of the oil, which is often desirable with sensitive fatty acids such as GLA.
