Lutein is a yellow pigment that naturally occurs in green leafy vegetables and in the extract from marigold (Tagetes erecta). In this supplement, it is standardized and sourced from Lutemax® 2020.

Zeaxanthin is, just like lutein, a plant carotenoid. It is often combined with lutein in supplements because of their combined occurrence in vegetables and fruit.

Visionyl Expert contains taurine and L-cysteine. Both are sulfur-containing amino acids that also naturally occur in food, such as fish, eggs, and poultry.

Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) is a fruit rich in anthocyanosides, natural colorants from the polyphenol group. This supplement uses an extract standardized to at least 25% anthocyanosides.

Ginkgo biloba is a plant whose leaf is used. In this formula, an extract is included that is standardized to flavonglycosides and terpene lactones, with a low content of ginkgolic acids.

Copper bisglycinate is a so-called amino acid chelate form, in which copper is bound to the amino acid glycine. This form is often chosen in supplements due to good tolerability and absorbability. Copper is a trace element that in small amounts occurs in foods such as organ meat, seeds, and cocoa.

Chromium picolinate is a commonly used, stable form of chromium, bound to picolinic acid. This form is often used in supplements because of consistent dosing. Chromium is a trace element found in foods such as whole grains, vegetables, and nuts, though often in low concentrations.
