What is Royal Jelly?
Royal jelly, also called queen bee jelly, is a milky substance made by worker bees to feed the queen bee.
How is royal jelly obtained?
It is harvested from the cells of a beehive where bee larvae are raised. This is done in bee colonies where the queen is kept separately, so worker bees continue producing the jelly.
What does 10-HDA mean in Royal Jelly?
10-HDA (10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid) is a fatty acid that occurs naturally in royal jelly. It is often used as a marker for the quality and potency of the product. A higher content of 10-HDA may indicate a better quality royal jelly.
