What is cod liver oil?
Cod liver oil is an oil extracted from the liver of cod. Naturally, cod liver oil contains omega-3 fatty acids and the fat-soluble vitamins A and D.
What is the difference between cod liver oil and fish oil?
Fish oil is extracted from the muscle tissue of oily fish and naturally mainly contains omega-3 fatty acids. Cod liver oil is extracted from the liver of cod and in addition naturally contains vitamin A and vitamin D.
What are omega-3 fatty acids?
Omega-3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fatty acids that naturally occur in oily fish, cod liver oil, algae and certain plant foods. The best-known forms are EPA, DHA and ALA.
Where does vitamin E naturally occur?
Vitamin E is naturally present in vegetable oils, nuts, seeds, avocado and green leafy vegetables. It consists of a group of compounds known as tocopherols.
Why is it preferable to take Omega-3 Arctic with a meal?
