Bonusan Collagen Tripeptide Complex (160 grams) contains collagen tripeptides (bovine), supplemented with hyaluronic acid (HAPLEX®Plus), vitamin C (as zinc ascorbate), zinc, copper and grape seed extract (Vitis vinifera semen), standardised to at least 95% OPC. With the recommended daily dose of 1.5 level scoops, the formula provides 5 g collagen tripeptide, 120 mg hyaluronic acid, 60 mg vitamin C, 75 mg grape seed extract, 11 mg zinc and 1 mg copper. The powder is microgranulated and therefore easily soluble in both cold and hot water. The recommended dosage is 1.5 level scoops daily, mixed with a glass of water (200 ml).
Collagen tripeptides are short chains of three amino acids, created by breaking down collagen further than with standard collagen peptides.
Collagen consists of long protein chains. Collagen peptides are smaller pieces, created by hydrolysis. Collagen tripeptides are even smaller: chains of exactly three amino acids.
Bovine collagen contains both type I and type III collagen. Bonusan hydrolyses the bovine collagen into tripeptides, making the molecule size comparable to that of fish collagen.
Grape seed extract is an extract obtained from grape seeds (Vitis vinifera), standardised for OPCs (oligomeric proanthocyanidins).
Microgranulation is a processing method that improves the solubility of a powder, making it easier to dissolve in both cold and hot water.
