BON CHARGE Parker blue light blocking glasses (1 piece) are glasses with orange lenses that block 100% of blue and green light between 400 and 550 nm. The Parker model has a sleek frame with a retro look and comes in a medium size, suitable for an average face. The frame is lightweight and comfortable to wear, even for several hours in a row. The glasses are intended for evening use, during the last 2 to 3 hours before going to bed, for example when reading, watching TV, or working on a screen.
Blue light glasses have coloured lenses that filter out part of the light. These glasses block blue and green light, such as from LED lamps and the screens of phones, tablets, laptops, and televisions. What remains is warm, orange-red light.
The colour of the lenses is due to the light they block. Because blue and green light are blocked, only yellow, orange, and red light pass through the lenses. This gives the lenses an orange appearance and gives everything you see a warm tint.
Wavelengths of light are measured in nanometres (nm). Blue light is roughly between 400 and 500 nm, green light between 500 and 550 nm. A spectrometer test has shown that these glasses block 100% of light in this entire range.
The Parker frame is medium size. The lenses are 50 mm wide, the nose bridge is 19 mm, and the arms are 145 mm long. The glasses are 47 mm high and 140 mm wide, measured from hinge to hinge.
The frame is handmade from acetate, a lightweight and sturdy plastic.
