Applied Nutrition ABE Performance Pre Workout Cans (12 x 330 ml) is a carbonated pre-workout drink with 200 mg of caffeine per can. The formula includes 2 grams of beta-alanine, 2 grams of citrulline, 200 mg of taurine, and added ingredients such as L-tyrosine and betaine anhydrous. In addition, vitamin B3 (niacin) and B12 (cyanocobalamin) have been added. The drink is sugar-free and does not need to be mixed, making it a convenient choice for athletes who want a pre-workout in a ready-to-drink format. Available in multiple flavours: Blue Lagoon, Apple Burst, Cherry Slushie, Cloudy Lemonade, Energy Flavour, Fruit Candy, Grape Soda, Orange Burst and White.
Nicotinamide is a commonly used, water-soluble and stable form of vitamin B3. This form is suitable for use in liquid products such as canned drinks and is often chosen for its long shelf life and neutral taste.
Sucralose is an intensive sweetener that provides no calories. It is flavour-stable, readily soluble in water and suitable for use in carbonated drinks.
No, ABE Performance does not contain any protein. The formula focuses on specific amino acids, caffeine, vitamins and supporting ingredients such as betaine and sucralose.
The amino acids in this product – such as beta-alanine, citrulline, taurine and L-tyrosine – are non-essential. Non-essential amino acids do not necessarily need to be obtained from the diet. Essential amino acids, on the other hand, can only be obtained from food or supplements.
Beta-alanine is a free amino acid and does not occur in classic proteins. Protein powders consist of complete proteins, built from a mix of essential and non-essential amino acids. In ABE Performance, amino acids such as beta-alanine are added individually, separate from protein structures.
Taurine and citrulline are often added as separate ingredients due to their functional properties in formulations. They are well soluble, stable and suitable for use in liquid products such as pre-workout drinks.
