Frequently asked questions
Which fruits contain vitamin B12?
Vitamin B12 does not naturally occur in fruit or vegetables. It is mainly found in animal products such as meat, fish, dairy, and eggs. For vegetarians and especially vegans, vitamin B12 is therefore a point of attention.
Why is my urine sometimes bright yellow after taking a B vitamin supplement?
This can be due to vitamin B2 (riboflavin), a water-soluble vitamin that the body does not store and excretes through urine. This can give urine a brighter yellow color.
Does a vitamin B complex have any disadvantages?
One effect can be that a higher dose (>50 mg) of vitamin B3 (niacin) causes a temporary “flush”: a warm, red feeling in the face and limbs. This is harmless and temporary. One capsule provides 25 mg B3.
