Vitals Microbiol Child Platinum Drops (8 ml) is a dietary supplement with two well-known bacterial cultures: Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (BB-12®) and Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG®), provided by Novonesis. These original bacterial strains are combined in a liquid formula based on high oleic sunflower oil, rich in oleic acid (omega 9). The formula is suitable for babies from birth, but is also easily applicable for older children and adults.
Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus GG is the new name for Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG. The "GG" stands for the surnames of the discoverers, Sherwood Gorbach and Barry Goldin. This bacterium produces lactic acid.
Fermented foods also contain live bacteria, but often in variable amounts and strains. Supplements offer a standardized dosage.
CFU stands for colony forming units and indicates how many viable bacteria are in a serving. In this product, that is 2 billion CFUs per daily dose (6 drops), which shows how many bacteria are still alive when used as directed.
After intense shaking (at least 30 seconds), the mixture should appear even, with no visible lumps or separation. A well-mixed product ensures an even dosage.
