Solgar Griffonia Complex (30 or 90 plant-based capsules) contains per capsule 334 mg Griffonia simplicifolia seed extract, standardized to 30% 5-HTP (equivalent to 100 mg 5-HTP), supplemented with 56 mg magnesium, 100 mg valerian root extract, and 10 mg vitamin B6.
Suitable for adults who are conscious about their food intake, have a busy lifestyle, or prefer to opt for one complete formula instead of several separate supplements.
5-hydroxytryptophan, or 5-HTP, is a direct precursor of serotonin and is formed as a metabolite of the amino acid tryptophan.
Valerian root is an herb that is often combined with other plant compounds in dietary supplements, for example in evening or nighttime routines.
Avoid using 5-HTP together with antidepressants, sleep medication, or supplements containing amino acids like tryptophan. Always consult a doctor before using with medications.
It is best to take the capsules with some fruit juice for faster absorption.
The idea behind this formula is simplicity. Instead of using several separate supplements, this capsule contains a balanced mix of well-known substances such as Griffonia (5-HTP), valerian, magnesium, and vitamin B6. This makes it easier to fit into a daily routine.
No, the formula is free from caffeine, stimulants, and artificial additives.
