NOW Foods UC-II® Type II Collagen (60 or 120 capsules) contains 40 mg standardized chicken cartilage extract per capsule, including 10 mg collagen, of which undenatured type II collagen. The formula is enriched with Aquamin®, a mineral complex derived from red seaweed (Lithothamnium spp.), which naturally contains calcium. Each capsule is designed for one daily dose and also contains a small amount of calcium (80 mg).

What is the difference between hydrolyzed collagen and UC-II®?
Hydrolyzed collagen consists of separate amino acid chains and is often used in higher doses. UC-II® is undenatured type II collagen in its intact form and is typically used in low doses (such as 40 mg).
What does 'undenatured' collagen mean?
Undenatured collagen retains its original molecular structure. This means it has not been heated or enzymatically broken down, as is the case with hydrolyzed collagen peptides.
