NOW Foods C-1000 Zinc & D-3 (100 vegetarian capsules) combines three well-known nutrients in one supplement. This formula contains 1000 mg of vitamin C, 50 mcg of vitamin D3, and 15 mg of zinc per capsule. The product uses Albion™ Zinc Bisglycinate, which has been carefully selected for its high bioavailability.
Albion™ Zinc Bisglycinate is a specially developed form of zinc with high bioavailability, meaning it is more easily absorbed by the body.
Vitamin D3 from lanolin is a highly absorbable form of vitamin D, derived from sheep wool fat. It is purified and then converted into cholecalciferol. It is therefore not vegan but is suitable for vegetarians.
Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) comes from plant sources like mushrooms, while vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is usually derived from animal sources, such as lanolin (wool fat). D3 is better absorbed and converted by the body, making it more effective than D2.
