Nordic Naturals Vitamin E Complex (30 softgels) is a balanced formula with six different forms of vitamin E, including natural tocopherols and tocotrienols from annatto. This combination is often chosen because of the broad spectrum of the complex and its value in antioxidant formulas. The formula contains RRR-alpha-tocopherol, along with non-alpha tocopherols (RRR-beta, -gamma and -delta) and tocotrienols in the form of delta and gamma variants. The softgels are delivered in a base of organic extra virgin olive oil.
Tocopherols and tocotrienols are both forms of vitamin E, but differ in structure. This formula contains both groups for a broadly composed complex.
Annatto is a natural extract from the seeds of the achiote plant. In this supplement, it provides the tocotrienols, a specific form of vitamin E.
RRR-alpha-tocopherol is the natural and most common form of vitamin E that is often used in high-quality supplements.
Vitamin E is found in vegetable oils such as sunflower oil, olive oil and wheat germ oil, but also in nuts, seeds, green leafy vegetables and avocado.
Yes, it is recommended to take vitamin E during a meal, preferably one that contains fat, as vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin.
