NatureWise Liquid Multivitamin + Hair Growth¹ (887 ml) has a peach-mango flavour and is intended for women and men from 18 years old. Each daily serving of 2 tablespoons (30 ml) contains, among other things, 10,000 mcg biotin, 100 mg tocotrienols from TocoGaia® and 25 mcg vitamin D3 from lichen. Every serving also contains B vitamins in the forms methylcobalamin and calcium-L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate. In addition, the formula includes an amino acid complex with glycine, proline, serine, and glutamine, supplemented by MSM, taurine, inositol, and hesperidin. Because it is a liquid, there is no need to swallow tablets or capsules. You can take the serving neat or mix it with a drink. The multivitamin is suitable for vegans, and with daily use, one bottle lasts about 29 days.
Tocotrienols, along with tocopherols, belong to the vitamin E family. They have a similar chemical structure, but a slightly different tail on the molecule. There are four forms of each: alpha, beta, gamma, and delta. This product contains all four tocotrienols.
TocoGaia® is a brand name for a tocotrienol complex obtained from the fruit of the oil palm. It contains all four forms of tocotrienols: alpha, beta, gamma, and delta.
Tocotrienols naturally occur in, among other things, palm oil, rice bran oil, barley, and oats. Palm oil is one of the richest sources. The tocotrienols in this product are sourced from crude palm oil of the oil palm (Elaeis guineensis).
Biotin is a water-soluble B vitamin, also known as vitamin B7 or vitamin H. It is naturally found in foods such as eggs, nuts, seeds and legumes. D-biotin is the form that naturally occurs in food.
Folic acid is the synthetic form of vitamin B9 that is widely used in supplements. This form is first converted to an active form. L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate, also known as L-5-MTHF, is already an active form of folate. In this product, it is bound to calcium. The label indicates folate as DFE: 400 mcg L-5-MTHF is equivalent to 680 mcg DFE.
Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) is obtained from yeasts and mushrooms. Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is usually from animal sources, such as wool fat (lanolin). This multivitamin contains vitamin D3 from lichen, a plant-based source. Thus, the product is suitable for vegans.
Lichen is an organism that consists of a natural partnership between a fungus and an alga or cyanobacterium. It is used as a plant-based source for vitamin D3.
