Bonusan Vitamin C-1000 Ascorbate Complex (90 or 180 tablets) is a dietary supplement with vitamin C from calcium, magnesium, potassium, and zinc ascorbate. This form of vitamin C is less acidic than pure ascorbic acid and is often chosen in supplements. The product is enriched with magnesium, zinc, and citrus bioflavonoids. Each tablet contains 1000 mg of vitamin C, 60 mg of magnesium, 3 mg of zinc, and 75 mg of citrus bioflavonoids. Bonusan Vitamin C-1000 Ascorbate Complex is suitable for daily use and is preferably taken during or immediately after a meal.
Ascorbates are the mineral salts of vitamin C. This form is often referred to as "buffered" or "deacidified" vitamin C because the binding with minerals neutralizes the acidic nature. The binding also provides a small amount of minerals.
Vitamin C in ascorbate form is less acidic than ascorbic acid. It has a neutral taste and is gentler on the stomach and teeth.
Citrus bioflavonoids are plant compounds that naturally occur in citrus fruits. This supplement contains citrus bioflavonoids standardized to at least 95% hesperidin.
