Bonusan NAC 600 (60 capsules) is an amino acid supplement with N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC), a form of the sulfur-containing amino acid cysteine. NAC fits well into a high-protein or balanced diet. The capsules are easy to take and suitable for daily use, with 1 to 2 capsules per day being sufficient.
NAC is a stabilized form of the amino acid cysteine, to which an acetyl group has been added. This form dissolves well in water and is often used in supplements due to its stability and purity.
Cysteine is a sulfur-containing amino acid found in food. N-acetyl-cysteine is a synthetically derived form, which through the acetyl group is better suited for processing in capsules or tablets.
Cysteine is found in protein-rich foods such as meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, legumes, nuts and seeds. It is one of the sulfur-containing amino acids found in animal and plant proteins.
