Bonusan Bacteri Fem (10 capsules) contains a combination of the bacterial strains Lactobacillus acidophilus LA-14 and Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus HN001, supplemented with lactoferrin RCX. Each capsule contains 5 billion (5 x 10⁹ CFU) live bacteria, supplemented with 50 mg lactoferrin RCX. The capsules are vegetarian and come in a blister pack. The recommended dose is one capsule per day, to be taken just before or during a meal. When taken daily as directed, the pack of 10 capsules lasts about 10 days. This supplement is specially formulated for women.
Lactoferrin is a protein that naturally occurs in milk.
Bacterial strains are often taken with a meal, as stomach acid is less concentrated at that time than on an empty stomach.
CFU stands for colony forming units. This is a unit of measurement that indicates how many viable bacteria are present in a supplement and is used to show the amount of bacteria per capsule or per daily dose. The same abbreviation, CFU (colony forming units), is used in English.
Lactobacillus acidophilus is a bacterial strain that naturally occurs in fermented foods such as yoghurt and sauerkraut.
Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus is a bacterial strain that naturally occurs in fermented foods, such as certain dairy products.
They are two different bacterial strains. Lactobacillus acidophilus LA-14 and Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus HN001 are separate, specifically selected strains that are combined together in this product.
