Applied Nutrition Organ Shield (300 grams) is a powder supplement for adults over 40 years old. The formula consists of a mix of vitamins, minerals, plant extracts and other nutrients, including inulin, N-acetyl-L-cysteine, choline bitartrate (VitaCholine®), coenzyme Q10, grape seed extract, and vitamins C, E, D3, K2, zinc, and selenium. In addition, it contains a range of plant extracts such as hibiscus, goji berry, juniper berry, dandelion root, and artichoke leaf. Organ Shield is sweetened with sucralose, contains no added sugars, and is suitable for both vegetarians and vegans.
VitaCholine® is a form of choline, a nutrient found in foods such as eggs. In supplements, choline bitartrate is often used because of its stability and good solubility in powder form.
NAC is a processed form of the amino acid cysteine, chosen for its good solubility. It is often included in formulas with multiple nutrients.
PEA is a fatty acid-like compound that also occurs naturally in food. In supplements, it is added in low doses to powder or capsule formulas.
Potassium citrate is a combination of potassium and citric acid. This form is highly soluble in water and is often used in drink powders.
Inulin is a fiber derived from plants such as chicory root. In this supplement, it is used as a soluble fiber and as part of the powder’s structure.
