Laveen Vitamin K Olive Drops for infants (10 ml) contain 150 mcg vitamin K1 per daily dose of 2 drops, based on organic extra virgin olive oil. With a fixed dose of 2 drops per day, you can easily give the drops daily, directly from a spoon or via the bottle. The drops are intended for infants up to 12 weeks old who are breastfed or drink less than 500 ml formula per day. One bottle lasts exactly 12 weeks, making it suitable for the entire period of use.
Vitamin K1, also known as phylloquinone, is a fat-soluble vitamin. You naturally find it in green vegetables, such as kale, spinach, broccoli and Brussels sprouts, and in plant oils like rapeseed oil. Vitamin K1 is the form of vitamin K most commonly found in plant-based foods.
Vitamin K1 comes from plants, especially green leafy vegetables. Vitamin K2 is produced by bacteria and is found in foods such as cheese and natto, a Japanese product made from fermented soybeans.
Extra virgin is the highest quality class for olive oil. The oil is mechanically pressed, without heat or chemical treatment, and must have an acidity of a maximum of 0.8%. The olive oil in these drops is organic.
Vitamin E is used as an antioxidant. It helps preserve the quality of the olive oil.
Vitamin K1 is a fat-soluble vitamin. It dissolves in oil and not in water. In olive oil, the vitamin is evenly distributed, so each drop contains the same amount and you can easily dose 150 mcg vitamin K1 with 2 drops.
