Lactoferrin is a naturally occurring protein in the body that is found in milk (especially colostrum, the first breast milk), saliva, tears, and other bodily fluids. It is a so-called iron-binding glycoprotein, meaning it can bind to iron.

Lactoferrin CLN® is a high-quality lactoferrin extract derived from cow's milk. It is purified using advanced processes (with double filtration and gentle drying) and has a purity of over 97 %.

Lactoferrin is most abundant in colostrum, the first breast milk, but can also be found in cow's milk, cheeses, yogurt, and other dairy products, albeit in smaller amounts.

Lactoferrin is derived from cow's milk and is therefore not suitable for vegans. Vegetarians who consume dairy products can use this product.
