AHCC® is a patented extract from shiitake mycelia with a high content of alpha-glucans, which are better absorbed by fermentation. Unlike standard mushroom supplements, which often contain beta-glucans, AHCC® has a unique composition and production method.

Alpha-glucans are a type of carbohydrate (polysaccharides) made up of glucose molecules linked together by alpha bonds. They naturally occur in starchy foods such as grains and some mushrooms.
