Adenosylcobalamine, like methylcobalamine, is a biologically active form of B12 that does not require further conversion in the body. This offers advantages compared to the common, non-active forms of vitamin B12.

Vitamin B12 can be absorbed through the oral mucosa (sublingually), bypassing the gastrointestinal tract. A melt tablet therefore ensures faster and better absorption of vitamin B12.

Vitamin B12 is found in animal products such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy. Naturally, plant-based products contain almost no vitamin B12, but some plant-based foods like soy milk, oat milk, and meat substitutes are fortified with synthetic B12.
