What are active B vitamins?
These are the forms of B vitamins that the body can use directly, without requiring conversion first. Examples include vitamin B6 (Pyridoxal-5-phosphate), folic acid (5-Methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF)) and vitamin B12 in the forms methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin.
Does the vitamin B3 in this supplement cause a flush?
The "flush" sometimes experienced with the use of vitamin B3 (niacin) is a temporary reaction where the skin becomes red, warm, and occasionally itchy. The niacinamide in this product is the flush-free variant of vitamin B3.
Are choline, inositol & PABA also B vitamins?
No. These substances are not officially considered B vitamins because they do not meet all the criteria to be essential vitamins. They have been added to this B-complex for their complementary properties.
What does µg mean?
µg stands for microgram. Instead of the symbol µg, the abbreviation mcg is also used. 1000 µg (or mcg) is equal to 1 milligram (mg).
