Vitakruid Multi Day & Night® Men (2 x 30 or 2 x 90 tablets) consists of two multivitamins for men in one pack: the Multi Day Men for daytime and the Multi Night Men for the evening. The Multi Day Men contains all eight B vitamins, including P-5-P (vitamin B6), methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin (vitamin B12) and folate as 5-MTHF, supplemented with, among others, vitamin C, iron, copper, chromium, citrus bioflavonoids and OPC from grape seed extract. The Multi Night Men contains, among others, vitamin D3 from algae, vitamin K2 as MenaQ7®, zinc, selenium, and iodine, supplemented with extracts of passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) and damiana (Turnera diffusa). You take 1 Day tablet at breakfast and 1 Night tablet 2 hours before bedtime, so the intake fits easily into your daily routine. Both tablets are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
B vitamins are a group of eight water-soluble vitamins: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, biotin (B8), folate (B11), and B12. They naturally occur in, among others, whole grain products, meat, fish, eggs, dairy, legumes, nuts and green leafy vegetables. The Multi Day Men contains all eight B vitamins.
5-MTHF (5-methyltetrahydrofolate) is the active form of folate. Folic acid is a synthetic form that first needs to be converted to this active form. Folate naturally occurs in, among others, green leafy vegetables, legumes, whole grain products, and eggs. The Multi Day Men contains 200 mcg folate as 5-MTHF.
Citrus bioflavonoids are natural plant compounds from citrus fruits, such as oranges, lemons and grapefruits. They are mainly found in the peel and the white membranes of the fruit. The Multi Day Men contains 60 mg citrus bioflavonoids.
The ratio indicates how much plant material was used for the extract. For a 9:1 extract, 9 kilos of plant material were used for 1 kilo of extract. For a 4:1 extract, that's 4 kilos of plant material for 1 kilo of extract.
N-acetyl-L-cysteine, also called NAC, is a form of the amino acid cysteine to which an acetyl group is attached. Cysteine occurs naturally in protein-rich foods such as meat, fish, eggs, dairy and legumes. The Multi Night Men contains 100 mg NAC.
Zinc is a trace element that is naturally found in, among others, meat, shellfish, cheese, nuts, seeds and whole grain products. In the Multi Night Men, 12 mg zinc are added, bound to the amino acid methionine.
