Where does vitamin C naturally occur?
Vitamin C is naturally found in vegetables and fruit, especially in citrus fruits such as oranges and lemons, but also in kiwi, strawberries, peppers, Brussels sprouts and broccoli.
What form of vitamin C is used in this supplement?
This product contains ascorbic acid. This is a synthetically identical form of vitamin C widely used in supplements due to its purity, stability, and easy dosing.
Why has rosehip been added to this supplement?
Rosehip is a plant-based ingredient often combined with vitamin C in supplements. It is appreciated for the presence of natural plant compounds that naturally occur alongside vitamin C.
What is the difference between ascorbic acid and other forms of vitamin C?
Ascorbic acid is the standard form of vitamin C. Other forms, such as calcium ascorbate or sodium ascorbate, are buffered and sometimes milder for the stomach. This product uses pure ascorbic acid for maximum concentration per tablet.
What does ‘timed-release’ mean for this supplement?
Timed-release means the active ingredient (vitamin C) is gradually released over several hours. In this product, release takes 5 to 8 hours.
What is the advantage of delayed release?
A gradual release can spread the absorption, which is pleasant for people who would rather not take a large quantity at once.
