Nordic Naturals Nordic Berries Citrus (120 or 200 gummies) are vegetarian, soft gummies. These gummies are made with pectin and specially tailored for children from 3 years old. They provide a mix of nutrients such as beta-carotene, vitamin C, D3, E, various B vitamins, zinc, and iodine. The citrus variant has a fresh, mildly sweet taste that matches well with children's taste preferences. Nordic Berries Citrus is often chosen by parents who are looking for an accessible and child-friendly way to supplement daily vitamins. The formulation is carefully tuned to the needs of growing children and fits well into a daily routine.
Nordic Berries contains vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), a form that naturally occurs in animal sources such as lanolin (wool fat). D3 is often used in supplements because of its good absorption. Note: because of this the product is not vegan, but it is vegetarian.
RRR-alpha-tocopherol is the natural form of vitamin E. This form also occurs in foods such as sunflower oil and nuts. It is often used in supplements because it remains stable and occurs naturally.
Inositol is a substance that naturally occurs in fruit, grains, and nuts. It is related to the B vitamins and is sometimes added to children's multivitamins as a complement to other nutrients. The amount in this product is small (10 mcg per daily dose).
Magnesium and calcium take up a lot of space in supplements. Because these gummies are small and chewable, there is limited space for large amounts of these minerals. For higher doses, separate supplements are available.
Zinc citrate is a widely used, well-absorbed form of zinc in supplements. It is gentle on the stomach and is often used in children's multivitamins.
Some of the vitamins are natural (such as vitamin E and D3), others are added in standardized, safe synthetic forms (such as vitamin B12 and folic acid), as is common in multivitamins.
