Nature's Way Acid-Ease (180 capsules) contains a blend of enzymes, marshmallow root extract, slippery elm bark and gamma-oryzanol from rice bran. The capsules are suitable for a vegan and vegetarian diet.
Slippery Elm is the English name for the bark of Ulmus rubra, or red elm. The inner bark contains mucilaginous substances that form a gel-like consistency when mixed with water.
Amylase, lipase, and cellulase are enzymes that can break down carbohydrates, fats, and plant fibers, respectively.
Gamma-oryzanol is a natural mixture of plant compounds, mainly ferulic acid esters of sterols and triterpenes, that is extracted from rice bran (the outer layer of rice grains).
Marshmallow root (Althaea officinalis), also known as marshmallow root, is the root of a plant native to Europe and Western Asia. The root is known for its soft, mucilaginous texture and is traditionally used in herbal teas and supplements.
The recommended intake is before each meal; it can also be used between meals.
