Bonusan Omega-3 SPM Pro (60 softgels) contains fish oil from the brand Lipinova®, processed in easy-to-take softgels. Just 1 softgel per day provides 100 mg EPA and 162.50 mg DHA, supplemented with specific constituents such as 17-HDHA, 18-HEPE and 14-HDHA. The softgel is taken during a meal and contains a capsule shell made from fish gelatine, glycerol and water. With daily use of 1 softgel, a pack of 60 softgels will last approximately 60 days.
Omega-3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fatty acids that naturally occur in oily fish, algae, and certain plant-based foods.
EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) are omega-3 fatty acids that mainly occur in fish and algae. ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) is a plant-based omega-3 fatty acid found in, among others, flaxseed, chia seeds and walnuts.
EPA and DHA are naturally found in oily fish, such as salmon, herring, mackerel and sardines, and in certain types of algae.
SPM stands for Specialized Pro-Resolving Mediators. These are substances that naturally develop from omega-3 fatty acids such as EPA and DHA.
These are specific compounds that are naturally present in certain fish oils, including the oil used in this product.
Lipinova® is a brand name for a specific form of fish oil, obtained via a proprietary extraction method.
