BioTechUSA 100% Pure Whey (900 grams) is a protein powder based on a complex of whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate. A 28 g serving, about 2 heaped tablespoons, provides 21 g of protein for around 107 kcal. The formula is supplemented with L-glutamine, the BCAAs leucine, isoleucine and valine, L-arginine and bromelain, an enzyme from pineapple. Mix a serving with 250 ml of water into a creamy shake that easily fits into your daily routine. The packaging contains enough for 32 servings. 100% Pure Whey is available in 15 flavour variants.
Bromelain is a protein-splitting enzyme that naturally occurs in the stem and fruit of the pineapple. In cooking, it is also used as a meat tenderiser. A small amount of bromelain has been added to 100% Pure Whey.
Whey, also known as whey, is the liquid that remains when cheese is made from milk. Today, it is one of the most commonly used protein sources in protein powders.
It contains whey protein concentrate and isolate, except for the unsweetened Natural variant, which contains only whey protein concentrate.
A whey protein complex is a combination of two forms of whey protein: concentrate and isolate. 100% Pure Whey contains both, so the powder combines the creamy texture of a concentrate with the high protein content of an isolate.
Whey protein naturally contains all essential amino acids. In 100% Pure Whey, extra L-glutamine, L-arginine and the three BCAAs leucine, isoleucine and valine are also added.
